The Story of Fox Enduro... so far

Thank you for visiting my store. My name is Devon Loughlin, Owner of Fox Enduro. For a bit of a back story - I graduated US Marine Corps boot camp in 2012 at Paris Island. After about a year into service, I realized that I needed my first vehicle. Of course - it was a motorcycle. Winter wasn't much of a concern in North Carolina. So, in 2013 I purchased a 2007 Triumph Daytona 675. That motorcycle kick-started a passion of mine that can't be extinguished. MOTORCYCLES.

Close, but no cigar

Admittedly, it took me far too long to realize how much I would love the off-road side of motorcycles. I slowly started to purchase and modify bikes to try to create an off-road capable bike. I even modified a 2017 Yamaha FZ-07 to be an enduro bike. I was so confident in it's performance that I rode it to the entrance of a local trail system "Hopkinton-Everett OHRV", in the rocky woods of New Hampshire. I was met by a 4-wheeler who politely informed me of my impending grave mistake. I reluctantly turned around before entering the trail head. That's when I learned that I wanted more, and in fact, that I really should just buy a dirt bike.

Enter Dirt Bikes

My first ever dirt bike was a Honda CRF-300L. That bike taught me a lot. One of the biggest lessons it taught me, was that the 300L is HEAVY. I dropped that bike multiple times every time I took it out. So, lets try a 2-stroke. A used Beta Xtrainer was my next choice. That bike was awesome. Again, more learning opportunities. The power delivery, and torque were a lot different than anything I rode before it. But I was still learning.. and riding the 300 when I was exhausted was actually quite dangerous.

Less strokes

I liked the 2 stroke, what about a small bore? I rode a friends' Beta 200RE through the same trail system that turned me around years before. The Beta 200 meshed with my soul. It was exactly what I was looking for. I ended up buying a Beta 200RR just a few weeks later.

A career in motorcycles?

That's the dream. Lets be honest, a $10k dirt bike is insane. I can't make the bikes cheaper, but my vision is to produce low cost parts. The guard that protects your fancy clutch cover doesn't need to cost just as much.

Dirt bikes have changed my life for the better. I support all of my local racing venues, trails, OHRV/OHV clubs, and as many shops as I can afford. But, there's no way I could ever give back to the community as much as it deserves. I'd love to hear your story too.

Thanks,

Devon Loughlin
